Welcome to “Opportunities Unlock,” where we are dedicated to shaping a brighter future for Africa’s young minds. Founded in 2019 by Esther Abel, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and gender equality, Opportunities Unlock champions Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 5 (Gender Equality). Our mission is to unlock the untapped potential within every African youth by providing access to quality education, mentorship, career coaching, and life-changing opportunities.

Esther Oyiyechi Abel recently completed her Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in Business at Arizona State University, where she was also a distinguished Mastercard Scholar. Her academic journey began at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, where she graduated with a First Class degree in Information Technology, earning the title of Best Student in her department.
Driven by a deep passion for technology and its transformative potential, Esther has actively pursued opportunities to broaden her expertise in AI, data analysis, and the financial sector. Her commitment to excellence is evident through her participation in prestigious programs such as Engineeering for Change Fellowship E4C, Womentechsters Fellowship by Tech4Dev and the Google Data Analytics course on Coursera. These experiences have equipped her with advanced skills in data analysis and AI, which she is now applying to cutting-edge projects at Arizona State University. Currently, she is working on developing innovative AI models and custom LLM applications that cater to both academic and industry needs.

Our mission at Opportunities Unlock is to empower 10,000 African youths within 5 years by creating pathways to education, mentorship, and skill development. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual, regardless of their background, can access the resources and opportunities needed to achieve their fullest potential. By championing innovation, gender equality, and sustainable growth, we aim to build a generation of leaders equipped to drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
